FAQ
Why should I choose Dance Society?
We are a well-rounded studio dedicated to fun, family, and growth. Whether your dancer is taking their very first class or has years of experience, they’ll be welcomed into a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment. Our passionate teachers focus on building not only strong dancers, but also confident, respectful, and resilient individuals. With a variety of styles and age-appropriate programming, we strive to make every class educational, engaging, and full of joy.
What performance opportunities are available?
All students have the opportunity to showcase what they've learned in two exciting performances each year in Winter and Summer. Dancers learn choreography during their regular weekly classes, allowing them to grow as performers while gaining confidence on stage. These events are a highlight of the season, celebrating progress, dedication, and the joy of performing for friends and family. Additional performance opportunities are available for special events, such as our “Nutcracker in a Day” program.
What age can my child start dance?
Children can begin dancing with us at age 3. Our Tiny Stars class is a joyful introduction to dance that combines ballet, tap, and creative movement in a warm and nurturing environment. Young dancers explore rhythm, movement, and coordination, all while having fun, building confidence, and making new friends!
Do you offer trial classes?
Yes! We offer a free trial class so your child can experience the class before commiting. It’s a great way to make sure the style, level, and environment are the right fit. Contact us or fill out our Interest Form and we’ll be happy to help schedule your free trial class and find the best option for your dancer.
How are students placed in levels?
Students are placed based on a combination of experience, skill level, technique, age, maturity, and attention span. We want every dancer to feel confident and challenged, so our teachers carefully consider each student’s individual progress.
